What this is
I spent 24 years designing shoes for other brands. Filmsuede is where I make the ones I want to wear, the way I think they should be made. Good leather, honest shapes, short runs.

Full-grain Napa
The top layer of the hide with the grain left on. It softens up and gets better the more you wear it.

Lambskin lining
Soft against the foot and comfortable from the first wear, no long break-in.

Small batch
Short production runs. Every sample comes across my desk and gets marked up until it's right.

Thursday drops
New styles go live on Thursdays. A few come back. Most don't.

Years designing footwear
I've been drawing shoes for most of my life. Filmsuede is everything I've learned, without anyone else's brief.
I've designed for Quiksilver, etnies, Emerica, éS and Supra, co-founded Clearweather and ran it for ten years, and consulted for adidas, Vans and others. Three of my designs have each sold over a million pairs. Now it's just me, a few silhouettes I believe in, and the people who wear them.
