Every pair starts with premium full-grain leather, fully lined in soft lambskin, and built on lasts we developed ourselves. That's what gives Filmsuede a fit and a silhouette that's ours alone.
The materials, plainly stated
Full-grain leather
No corrected grain, no coatings hiding the surface. Full-grain is the strongest, most durable cut of the hide, and it's the only one we build with.
Lambskin, throughout
Every pair is fully lined in soft lambskin leather, not just at the collar. It's what makes a shoe feel broken in on day one instead of month three.
Custom lasts
We didn't build Filmsuede on stock lasts pulled off a shelf. Every silhouette is developed on lasts made specifically for this brand, for this fit.
Our designs take familiar classics and run them through our own lens. Timeless shapes. Modern proportions. Details that earn their place instead of being added for the sake of it.
Comfort matters just as much as looks, these are built for everyday wear, not just for photos. And we make on purpose in limited quantities. Quality over volume, every time. I'd rather make fewer things I'm proud of than chase whatever's trending.

My name is Josh Brubaker. I'm 44, married with two kids, and I run Filmsuede myself.
I design every shoe, work directly with the factories, pack the orders, answer the customer emails, and build this brand one step at a time. There's no team behind the curtain here. It's me.
I spent more than two decades designing footwear for some of the biggest names in the industry before I started Filmsuede. This brand is my chance to make products without compromise, on my own terms.
Quality isn't a slogan here. It's the standard. Every decision starts with the materials, the craftsmanship, and the belief that the best products only get better with time.
