From Me
I've spent 24 years designing shoes for other brands. Filmsuede is the first one where I get to make exactly what I want.
I design every pair, work directly with the factories, and run the business myself. No middle layer and no compromises on materials. Just shoes I'd want to wear, made in small runs, for people who notice the difference.

What Goes Into Every Pair
Materials
Every pair starts with full-grain Napa leather and a full lambskin lining. Built on custom lasts I develop in-house.
Design
Familiar classics, rebuilt with modern proportions. Shoes that look right dressed up or down and hold up to everyday wear.
Small Batches
Limited quantities, released on Thursdays. Quality over volume, every time.

Background
Before Filmsuede
I started in skate and lifestyle footwear, designing for Quiksilver, etnies, Emerica, éS and Supra. At Supra I designed the Skytop, the Vaider and the Stacks, and each one sold over a million pairs.
I co-founded Clearweather and ran it for 10 years. Along the way I've consulted for adidas, Vans, Shoe Surgeon, Nahimas and Lusso, and did a three-month consulting engagement with Yeezy.
Filmsuede is everything I learned, put into my own brand.
